I’ve always liked the idea of colored mouthpieces. Basically anything other than black is unique and uncommon. If I were to bleach a mouthpiece, then proceed to dye it a different color, or just leave it white, would that effect the sound I would produce? Would it make any difference between hard rubber and plastic?
Edit: Believe me, I’m aware there are companies who make colored mouthpieces. I’m trying to make my own because I’m broke and can’t afford that. Trust me, if I had the money to buy one, I wouldn’t have made this post.

*This fee applies to any mouthpieces that touch my bench either in person or which are sent in by-mail. It is applied at my discretion, but is always built-in to my refacing fee if you decide to get any work done. It involves checking the table for trueness, measuring the facing curve, and measuring the tip opening plus a discussion about what should be done to your mouthpiece. If mouthpieces are sent in by mail, this fee is always applied when the owner determines not to have work done after sending in. This is because of the large amount of time needed to coordinate acceptance via phone/email and discuss what should be done to your mouthpiece. Applies to every individual piece sent in. If work is done to 1 or more mouthpieces, the fee is dropped.**
**Mouthpieces left at the shop for work in-person or mouthpieces which are sent in by mail have a 30-day grace period after the work is completed and the owner notified of the completion of desired work. Mouthpieces are not returned until the ordered work is paid for. If services rendered are not paid for within the 30-day grace period, the mouthpieces will not be returned to the customer and will be considered abandoned.
